Book Review: Kingdom of Ash by Sarah J. Maas

Synopsis:
Aelin has risked everything to save her people―but at a tremendous cost. Locked within an iron coffin by the Queen of the Fae, Aelin must draw upon her fiery will as she endures months of torture. Aware that yielding to Maeve will doom those she loves keeps her from breaking, though her resolve begins to unravel with each passing day…

With Aelin captured, Aedion and Lysandra remain the last line of defense to protect Terrasen from utter destruction. Yet they soon realize that the many allies they’ve gathered to battle Erawan’s hordes might not be enough to save them. Scattered across the continent and racing against time, Chaol, Manon, and Dorian are forced to forge their own paths to meet their fates. Hanging in the balance is any hope of salvation―and a better world.

And across the sea, his companions unwavering beside him, Rowan hunts to find his captured wife and queen―before she is lost to him forever.

My Review:
I originally planned on writing my thoughts for every single chapter of this book. I stopped at like chapter nine. That would have been so much work for how long this book is. Time I did not unfortunately have.

This book left me broken. Happy. But broken. I was very fortunate to not have to wait too long for this last book. I feel for all those who had to wait years for this.

I'm satisfied with how the Throne Of Glass series has ended. I can safely say that none of my predictions came true. I'm happy about it but also kind of disappointed.

I was in tears, my heart breaking through some parts of this book. My heart was racing through all the war scenes. The best in this entire series. They didn't let me down one bit.

I'm really trying to not give any spoilers. I was not spoiled and so I will not spoil it for those who still haven't read it yet.

Just know that this book was amazing. Every single page of it. I really wish I could have devoured it faster than I did.

My heart is warm. My soul is complete. Thank you Sarah J. Maas for bringing this wonderful world to life. I'm glad to know that I can always visit Terrasen whenever I wish.

5/5 Stars
