Mid Year Freak Out Book Tag

OMG, how are we already halfway through 2018?? All I know is, Christmas is halfway here and I'm too excited to decorate again. I need my tree back in my living room!

I feel like all I do is work and sleep these days. Although, I'm still ahead on my Goodreads challenge and I'm hoping to keep it that way. Maybe this will be the first year I actually complete a reading challenge.

This year has really been amazing so far. I went to Disney for the first time. I really went when I was like three, but I don't remember it so I don't count it. I got my first ever PAID vacation. I got a brand new car that I'm making payments on. Everything has really started to look up for us this year. Even better than last year.

I'm hoping the rest of the year gets even better for every single one of us!

Now, onto the topics!

Top Ten Tuesday: Summer TBR

The original topic for this week is: Series I've Given Up On/Don't Plan To Finish. Currently, I have either finished all the series I've started or still plan to finish them. I hate giving up on series, I have to finish it until the very end!

I don't normally do TBR's because I let a randomizer choose what I'm going to read. So I'm going to list ten books that I want to read and hope they get chosen in my app!

I only chose three because I'm kind of in a time crunch and I gotta get going!

Very dangerous.

Luck be a vampire tonight . . .

. . . and every night

Who wouldn't want to be a tall, dark, powerful vampire? Jake, for one. He's barely had time to adjust to his new state before he's roped into a family favor. Still, secretly playing bodyguard to sweet, sexy Nicole is turning out to be the wildest ride of his life. First he'll put a stop to whoever's targeting her. REVIEW: The Lies They Tell by Gillian French

The Lies They Tell

By Gillian French

More Details:

Published May 1st 2018 by HarperTeen

Everyone in Tenney’s Harbor, Maine, knows about the Garrison tragedy. How an unexplained fire ravaged their house, killing four of the five family members. But what people don’t know is who did it. All fingers point at Pearl Haskins’s father, the town drunk, who was the caretaker of the property, but she just can’t believe it. Leave it to a town of rich people to blame “the help.”

With her disgraced father now trying to find work in between booze benders, Pearl’s future doesn’t hold much more than waiting tables at the local country club, where the wealthy come to flaunt their money and spread their gossip. This year, Tristan, the last surviving Garrison, and his group of affluent and arrogant friends have made a point of sitting in Pearl’s section. Though she’s repulsed by most of them, Tristan’s quiet sadness and somber demeanor have her rethinking her judgments. Befriending the boys could mean getting closer to the truth, clearing her father’s name, and giving Tristan the closure he seems to be searching for. But it could also trap Pearl in a sinister web of secrets, lies, and betrayals that, once untangled, will leave no life unchanged . . . if it doesn’t take hers first.

The Greatest Showman Book Tag

I recently saw that Tracy @ Cornerfolds did this tag. I commented on her post saying that I haven't seen the movie yet and she told me to watch it immediately. I bought it Friday night and it's now Sunday and I've watched it three times and I won't stop listening to the soundtrack.

I think it's safe to say that I am in love with this movie. It's my favorite!!!

WWW Wednesday | June 6, 2018

This meme is hosted by Sam @ Taking On A World Of Words

The Three W's Are:

  • What Are You Currently Reading?
  • What Did You Recently Finish Reading?
  • What Do You Think You'll Read Next?
I found this meme from Trisha at TrishaJennReads and I thought I would add this meme to my blog because why the heck not!

This week has been kinda slow in reading for me. I've been stuck in a slump with the TOG series because I seriously don't like Manon's character and can't ever get passed her chapters.

I've also have been so stressed and just been listening to music instead of reading. I'm starting to feel a little bit better so maybe next week will be better?

Dollar Tree Book Haul:

I love cheap books as much as the next person. I especially love it when they're only a dollar each! You definitely cannot beat it at all. So here's my little haul that I did last night.

PS, you don't know how hard it is to not load up my cart with every cheap book I see there.

Top Ten Tuesday: Books I Decided To DNF

Top Ten Tuesday: Books I Decided To DNF

I'm hardly ever one to put down a book and never pick it up again. There's really only one that I have and I'm honestly thinking about giving it a go again.

That book is Chasing Red by Isabelle Ronin. I just don't know why I didn't care for that book but I've heard nothing but good things about it!

Maybe I should pick it up again?

May Wrap Up:

I'm pretty happy with all that I've read this month. There was only one book that I didn't like! So I would say it was a great month for reading. I was planning on reading a lot more this month but I carried away with our family vacation.

I'm hoping June is going to be just a good. Maybe even better!

What books did you guys read this month? Which one was your favorite?
