October/Birthday Book Haul:

This month was magical. I had the best birthday I could ever ask for. I got everything I wanted, plus more. Some of these were paid for by all of the surveys I do online, some were won from giveaways. Some were great bargain deals, a dollar a piece! Others were birthday presents. I wouldn't be shocked if I don't do too much book shopping the rest of this year!

Just keep in mind, I do not post hauls to brag about what I buy. The books I get hardly ever come out of my own paychecks but from all of the online stuff I do to make money so that I can buy books. I've saved up for roughly six months so I could make sure I could get a decent amount of books.

This are not in any particular order, just the order I stacked them in on my kitchen table. I'm going to get started now because this is probably going to eat up my entire day!

That's because the novel is patterned on Emiline's own dark and desperate childhood, which means that "J. Colby" must be Jase: the best friend and first love she hasn't seen in more than a decade. Now, far from being flattered that he wrote the novel from her perspective, Emiline is furious that he co-opted her painful past and took some dramatic creative liberties with the ending.

The only way she can put her mind at ease is to find and confront J. Colby, but she's not quite prepared to learn the truth behind the fiction.
